A strong family commitment
A little history
Paul and Sue began their business in 1990 with small flock of Christmas Turkeys. Their farm has since grown into the biggest free range poultry farm on the Isle of Wight, with Free Range Duck, Chicken, and Eggs available year round and Turkey and Goose available at Christmas. Paul and Sue’s son Richard organises all the weekly deliveries to local pubs, restaurants, and businesses across the island, including eggs to many of the Islands small shops such as the Co-Ops.
Their poultry has always been available direct from the Farmers Markets in Newport and Ryde, but is now also available directly from the Brownrigg’s from their new farm shop situated just outside of Godshill. As well as poultry, their range of meat includes their own grass fed Lamb, Ruby Red Devon Beef, and Isle of Wight Bacon Company Pork. Alongside their meat, they are stocking a variety of organic, gluten free, dairy free, vegan and vegetarian products and a wide range of Isle of Wight produce. This includes locally sourced veg, Briddlesford Farm milk, Rew Vally Dairy butter and cream, Village Bakery Bread, Scarrots Lane Bakery pies and pastries, just to name a few.
The shop is open 7 days a week, so why not pop down and see the fantastic range of Brownrigg’s own meat, speciality products and Island produce. They have a butcher on site for recommendations and cuts to order on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. If you are unable to visit the shop, you can also shop online, visit the website at www.brownriggfarmmeats.co.uk.
